Meetings

STMC-sponsored Meetings are now listed on our Events page.

Visitors are invited to attend and participate in all the standing STMC-sponsored meetings.

Contact Ryan Tanner (rtanner@salud.unm.edu) if you would like a weekly E-mail reminder of STMC activities.

Other meetings include:

  • OWL Lab Meetings and Events
The Cell Pathology Division (aka OWL lab for Oliver/Wilson/Lidke) and the STMC Measurement Core sponsor a weekly lab meeting with presentation by graduate students and postdocs involved in experimental work supported by or aligned with the STMC.
  • Journal Clubs & Interest Groups (STAT)
The STMC cell biologists sponsor a weekly journal club focused on Signal Transduction, Adhesion and Trafficking (STAT). Led by Department of Pathology Research Faculty and STMC members, STAT brings together graduate students from diverse backgrounds to discuss papers from the current literature with potential to bring a Systems Biology perspective to their own research projects.
  • Data Analysis and Modeling Software Interest Group (DAMSIG)
The current task for the DAMSIG group is to create stochastic simulation software that can analyze and model the data on spatial distributions of receptors and signaling molecules generated by STMC experimental biologists.
